When I first started my podcast, I reached out to my email list and asked them for episode ideas. One of the first responses was from a past client of mine. She suggested I do an episode where I interview a client about their experience with 1:1 business coaching because it would’ve been so helpful for her before diving in. Naturally, I asked her if she’d be interested in being the one to share & boy, did she deliver! If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work with a business coach, you’re in for a treat…
And because it was really important to me that this episode be informative & not just a “toot Cassie’s horn” interview (see below for proof), you’re going to learn a lot from Paige.
Life Before 1:1 Business Coaching
To start the conversation, she shares what she was struggling with before hiring me as her business coach. She was overwhelmed with too much info and didn’t know what was relevant to her, wanted to raise her prices, etc. (Problems we can all relate to these days.) She wasn’t exactly sure what she needed, but she knew something had to change.
When we sat down to work together, I immediately noticed a red flag in her business. It was seriously hurting her conversions from leads to clients. Ironically, it was something she had learned from a well-known photography educator, but I knew that the one-size-fits-all solution wasn’t fitting Paige at all. Tune in to see if you’re making the same mistake!
What It’s Like to Work With a Business Coach
We ended up working together for 3 months, doing bi-weekly coaching. That meant we met 2x a month for 90-minutes to create action plans and then in between meetings, I was available for help via text / email! Not only does Paige share how working together helped her overcome initial challenges, but also how it changed her mindset moving forward. (Which is huge because we all know how much our brains like to hold us back in business.)
She also gets very real about the time commitment… Spoiler alert: it’s probably different from what you’re used to! Rather than spending most of her time learning, she started taking a lot more action.
Life After 1:1 Business Coaching
To wrap up our chat, Paige shares what she thinks her life would’ve looked like without coaching. And I share what I feel has been her greatest transformation in the past year. (Hint: there’s a lot more balance these days.)
By the end of our 24 minutes together, you’ll have a really clear inside look on what it’s like to work with a business coach. If at that point, you’re still unsure, Paige will leave you with some advice for creatives looking for a business coach.
